Day 6 - Castellane, France to Ovado, Italy.

OK, started the day off with some washing and strapping it to the bike to get some underwear dry 😁
Oh, speaking of ablutions, a lot of French campsites do not have toilet seats or rolls so make sure you have plenty.
Headed South toward the Med after some coffee and a pain au raison.
Crossing the Pre Alpes d'Azur, I had a close call with a deer which caused a butt clenching moment.
The closer to the coast, the worse the traffic (Later found out it was a National Holiday, The Assumption of Mary) but in a bid to tick another Country off my list we pointed toward Monaco.
Wanting to get away from the coast, we then travelled to Italy and into a very pretty but extremely less travelled national park and saw the hilltop village of Apricale.
It's very hard work riding in the hills, with gravel roads so we made our way back down, hit the toll road and ended in Genoa. After turning down a camp pitch for €52 we found a nice little place higher up in the hills call Hotel Bellagio where a pizza is on the menu.
Oh, and of you see a pizza in France called Cannibale, steer clear, it contains minced beef and a raw egg on top ☹️
Quick PS......Wild boar Tortelloni and Breaded lamb chops for tea.
