Day 12, Herten to Baarle Nassau

160 miles done today with visits to all of the bridges attempted to be taken during Operation Market Garden. The most important of which of course is Arnhem. Had a look around what is now called the John Frost bridge after the the Colonel leading the British troops attempting to take and hold it.

Leaving Herten this morning after our coffee and pastry we headed Westward to cross the border into Netherlands.
After that it was a short joint to Arnhem, the bridge too far and the cemetery containing those brave young men who died trying to shorten the war.
Now sitting at a campsite in Baarle Nassau, a small town with a Dutch/Belgian border running through it, you van be in either country dependant of which side of the road you are on.
